Americans today face severe life threatening medical problems that
can only be treated through organ transplant. As of October 2011
112,178 men, women and children are awaiting organ transplants to
save their lives. Thousands more are in need of tissue and cornea
transplants to restore their mobility and sight. Some Americans are
stepping up. In 2010 there were 14,510 organ donors and their gift
transformed lives from desperation to hope and joy. You have the
power to donate life and that is a powerful legacy. As Elks “who love
their fellow man” I ask you to register to be an organ, eye and tissue
donor today and provide hope to those who wait.
